The cybersecurity industry

One of the characteristics of Castilla y León as an investment destination is the modernity of its economy and the high added value of the sectors which comprise it. For example, within the diverse economic structure of Castilla y León, the cybersecurity stands out, which, furthermore relates two other key sectors, such as Security and ICTs:

The ICT sector is a key sector for the Community’s economy due to its great qualitative relevance as a catalyst for the whole productive fabric. Currently there are approximately 2,500 companies in the sector in Castilla y León, which generate more than 15,000 jobs.

On the other hand, there is a regional commitment with new technologies and to provide with a business network linked to the security sector, covering a broad spectrum of economic activities: comprehensive security, hardware and software, surveillance equipment, etc. The National Cybersecurity Institute of Spain (INCIBE), based in León; is the reference entity for the development of cybersecurity and the digital trust of citizens, the Spanish academic and research network (RedIRIS) and companies, especially for strategic sectors.

In relation to these sectors, ICE Area has been present at the following international fairs:

  • SICUR (Security)
  • MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS (TIC)
  • CEBIT (TIC)
  • IFSEC-Security.

In them we have been able to present our region to companies from all over the world that have seen how we can offer all our services for their expansion and the development of their business, thus contributing to the modernization and cutting-edge character already mentioned.
